March 21-23 weekend

Visiting Uncle Carl at the cabin and then going on to Tennessee to the Jones wedding !!

first hike of the year

This morning, Mom got everyone up and asked if I wanted to go on a hike with them.. I haven't moved my body very much since being sick, but I agreed.. "we'll see how this goes.." It was a lovely day- sunny, with a slight breeze. The perfect hiking weather!

The first interesting thing we came across was a snake.. Actually, he almost got smashed under Hadassah's shoe. She saw him just before stepping, and then proceeded to jump and let out a scream. Stepping on the little guy really gave her the shakes haha, we laughed pretty good!

we ended up hiking for a couple hours. Getting out of the house was so nice and refreshing. And it was such a lovely day to do so!

Diella asked for some pictures of some of her cattle, so out I went with my camera in hand.

cattle are basically just very large dogs.

they have such fun and unique personalities, and they bond just like pups too.

snowy portraits

Mom has been asking for an updated portrait of me, so this morning Joe and I went out to take photos in the snow with our "church clothes" on. We traded portraits haha, I did his, and he did mine:)

the snow really is lovely, especially when the sun shines and gives that gorgeous back lighting.

snow day in march

 We got a surprise snow day... the snowfall started in the morning, and by the end of the day, the ground was covered in fluffy white snow. Almost like we're still in February or something. haha, Indiana can never make up its mind weather wise.

I always make a point to take my camera to the pasture to photograph them in the snow.

The snow was lovely.. I am ready for summer and sunshine, but the big snowflakes were very pretty to watch.. and being able to go out in them without worrying about my lungs was incredible !!
